First things first, tell us about the book!
Fragile Chaos is a YA Fantasy Romance told in alternating points-of-view between Theodric and Cassia. Theo, the young God of War, is waging a mortal conflict in hopes of earning his power back from his brother. Sixteen-year-old Cassia is kidnapped and killed by religious zealots who hope her death will bring an end to the war. When secrets begin to surface, Theo and Cassia’s careful interactions become entwined with deceit, putting both their worlds at risk.
And what about the tea?
The tea for Fragile Chaos is Cranberry Spice and was created by Design a Tea. It’s a black tea blend flavored with Cranberry/Apple bits, Calendula, Allspice, and Rose Hips/Petals.
How does the tea fit the book?
Theo and Cassia are both bitter characters. Theo’s brother asked him to wage a war and then punished him for it. He’s spent centuries trying to prove himself worthy of his power but doesn’t feel any closer to obtaining them. Cassia has been ostracized since her brother was convicted of treason. She tried to be understanding at first, but when the zealots murder, she finally writes them off. With their strong personalities, a bold tea with a bit of a bite represents them both.
Lastly, tell us about your tea life.
My tea life consists of two types. At home, I drink Irish Breakfast tea with *mumble* spoonfuls of sugar. I get a venti Chai Latte from Starbucks. To be honest, I’m a mega whimp when it comes to anything with pepper so the first few sips make my tongue tingle a little but after that—YUM!
